Mr Innocent Augustt, the principal of KETASCO, told the Ghana News Agency that the school did not comprehend the news of James' death until the father confirmed it.
"We were also shocked to hear the sad news yesterday." We attempted to contact the family for confirmation but were unable to do so until late last night. "Our student's father confirmed his death."
He said that Management would soon convene for a "briefing, discussion, and decision" on how to adequately console the bereaved family.
Dr Stanislaus Adiaba, Chairman of KETASCO's Interim Management Committee (IMC), claimed the IMC was preoccupied with the "upcoming Volta and Oti Region Zonal NSMQ competition next week when the sad news of Dz James Lutterodt was received yesterday."
"The death of James has dealt a heavy blow to all Dzolalians, including the school and the NSMQ team, which is currently in camp and includes a junior brother of James."
We would like to extend our sympathies to James' family and year group on behalf of the Dzo Lali community. Let us all remember and pray for the Lutterodt family.
"James, a brilliant up-and-coming legend, rest in perfect peace with the LORD Almighty God."
Mr Kojo Mattah, the Dzolalians' immediate past National President, described James' death as heartbreaking news to him, prior pupils, and the school, and asked for God to console the family.
James was a member of the 2021 NSMQ team, which included Francisca Lamini and Bright Senyo Gadzo, who made KETASCO proud by becoming the first school from the Volta Region to reach the competition's finals.
The University of Ghana Level 200 Computer Science student, who had recently been accepted to one of the American universities as well, passed away on Monday from what was likely food poisoning while still enrolled in class before going on vacation.
